The short version
Relay Consulting collects only the information you give directly through the contact form or by emailing us. That information is used to reply to your enquiry and provide the services you've asked about — nothing else. It's not sold, shared, or used for marketing.
Who this applies to
This policy covers anyone who visits relayconsulting.nz, fills out the contact form, or emails Relay Consulting directly. Relay Consulting is a sole-operator IT consulting practice based in Christchurch, New Zealand, operating in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What's collected
- Contact form submissions — your name, email, business name (optional), the type of help you're enquiring about, and the message you write.
- Email correspondence — anything you send to support@relayconsulting.nz stays in the inbox so we can reply and reference past conversations.
- Anonymous site analytics — page views and unique visitor counts. No cookies, no IP addresses stored, no personal identifiers.
What's not collected
- No tracking cookies
- No advertising or marketing tracking pixels
- No location data beyond country-level
- No third-party data sharing
How your information is used
Information you submit is used to:
- Respond to your enquiry
- Scope and deliver any technical work you've engaged Relay Consulting for
- Maintain accurate records of past client work for reference and continuity
It's never used for marketing emails, newsletters, or promotional purposes — and never shared, rented, or sold to third parties.
Data retention
Contact form submissions and email correspondence are retained as long as needed to maintain a working relationship and meet New Zealand record-keeping obligations. You can request deletion of your information at any time by emailing support@relayconsulting.nz. Where legally permitted, your information will be deleted within 30 days.
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information Relay Consulting holds about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Make a complaint about how your information has been handled
