How I work — and what to expect.

Whether it's a one-off review, a specific project, or ongoing support — the approach is the same: keep it simple, only do what's needed, and be honest about scope.

The approach

Keep it simple. Only what's needed.

Built on years of experience inside New Zealand managed services environments — working with clients across retail, hospitality, professional services, and a range of small business setups. The approach behind Relay Consulting is straightforward: if something can be removed, replaced, or set up better, I'll say so, even if it means less work for me. The goal is to leave the setup easier to maintain than it was found, with fewer moving parts and clearer ownership.

Review

A fresh set of eyes on your systems, security posture, or a specific area you're unsure about. Useful before a migration, after a staff change, or when something just feels fragile.

Defined work with a clear start and finish — a migration, a Shopify build, a website setup, or a security cleanup. Bring the rough version of what you need and we'll shape it together.

Ongoing support

An everyday-IT person for the business. Account changes, troubleshooting, web maintenance, small improvements — handled without ticket queues or contract minimums. Pay for what you actually use.

Honest scope

What I do — and what I don't.

I won't take on work I can't handle properly. Big custom web development isn't my lane — I prefer clean static sites on Vercel or Railway, or Shopify when ecommerce is needed (Arcana is a recent example). For everything else — accounts, devices, email, domains, security, and day-to-day IT — that's the bread and butter.
